ATF Offers Reward for Information on the Homicide of a Rock Hill Woman
Alexis Massey Killed in 2021 Shooting
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives today announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the location, arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the death of a woman killed in 2021.
On May 10, 2021, officers were dispatched to Hagins St. in Rock Hill to investigate a shooting that claimed the life of Alexis Massey. The 20-year-old victim had come to the area for the weekend to celebrate Mother’s Day and was standing outside a residence when multiple gun shots were fired from a nearby area. Massey was struck once by stray gunfire and died as a result of her injuries.
Massey was originally from Rock Hill and had relocated to Spartanburg, South Carolina, where she owned a successful hair studio.
ATF is investigating this case as part of the Alexis Massey Task Force, which includes the Rock Hill Police Department, the State Law Enforcement Division Behavioral Science Unit, the State Forensic Services Laboratory, and the York County Coroner’s Office.
