ATF Offers Reward in Child Slaying

ATF, MPD and the FBI Seek Public’s Assistance and Offer $60,000 for Information on the Homicide

WASHINGTON — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Washington Field Division, in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Washington Field Office, are offering a combined $60,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible in the homicide of 1 year-old Carmelo Duncan of Southeast D.C.

Duncan was shot on the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020, in the 5700 block of Southern Avenue, Southeast, D.C. Detectives’ investigation revealed that the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds, while inside a vehicle, at the listed location.

ATF is offering the reward for the amount of up to $25,000, the MPD $25,000 and FBI $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible.
