Paperwork Reduction Act Extension of an Existing Information Collection
Purpose:
The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. The proposed information collection was previously published in the Federal Register on May 22, 2015. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides an additional 30 days for public comment on the extension of an existing collection. The proposed information collection pertains to licensees and permittees whose mailing address will change must notify the Chief, Federal Explosives Licensing Center, at least 10 days before the change. The information is used by ATF to identify correct locations of storage of explosives licensees/permittees and location of storage of explosive materials for purposes of inspection, as well as to notify licensees/permittees of any change in regulations or laws that may affect their business activities.
