The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. The proposed information collection was previously published in the Federal Register on November 10, 2015. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides an additional 30 days for public comment on the extension of an existing collection. The proposed information collection pertains to ATF F 10 (5320.10). State and local government entities are required to submit this form to register an abandoned or seized and previously unregistered National Firearms Act weapon. The form is required whenever an application for such a registration is made.
