Description :Application for Federal Firearms License – 30 day Notice – comment period ends March 5, 2015

Summary :The form is used to obtain permission to export firearms and serves as a vehicle to allow either the removal of the firearm from registration in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record or collection of an excise tax. It is used by Federal firearms licensees and others to obtain a benefit. The change to this form is to reflect the Department of State and the Department of Commerce share responsibility for issuance of export licenses.

Description :Certification on Agency Letterhead Authorizing Purchase of Firearm for Official Duties of Law Enforcement Officer – 30 day Notice – comment period ends March 26, 2015.

Summary :The letter is used by a law enforcement officer to purchase handguns to be used in his/her official duties from a licensed firearm dealer anywhere in the country. The letter shall state that the officer will use the firearm in official duties and that a records check reveals that the purchasing officer has no convictions for misdemeanor crimes of domestic violence.

Summary :Respondents must complete the eForm Access Request form in order to receive a user ID and password to obtain access to ATF’s eForm System. The information is used by the Government to verify the identity of the end users prior to issuing passwords.

Description :Records of Acquisition and Disposition, Registered Importers of Arms, Ammunition and Implements of War on the U.S. Munitions Imports List– 60 day Notice – comment period ends 3-23-15

Summary :The records are of imported items that are on the United States Munitions Import List. The importers must register with ATF and must file an intent to import specific items as well as certify to the Bureau that the items were in fact received. The records are maintained at the registrant’s business premises where they are available for inspection by ATF officers during compliance inspections or criminal investigations.
