Christopher Bombardiere is the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the Los Angeles Field Division for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). He is responsible for ATF criminal enforcement and industry regulatory operations in the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, San Diego, and Imperial.
Prior to his selection to this position, Mr. Bombardiere served as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) of the New York Field Division in January 2020 after serving in the Phoenix Field Division’s Albuquerque Field Office as the Resident Agent in Charge. He previously served as the Group Supervisor of the Crime Gun Intelligence Center in Los Angeles, where he supervised a staff of criminal investigators, task force officers, and intelligence analysts who investigated violent firearm-related crimes and criminal organizations. He has also held acting ASAC positions in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Phoenix.\
Mr. Bombardiere began his career with ATF in April 1999 and has held many positions during his more than 20-year career. Some of these positions include Criminal Investigator, Special Agent Certified Explosive Specialist, Public Information Officer, Branch Chief in the Office of Strategic Intelligence Information, NFOCIS Branch, Group Supervisor, and Resident Agent in Charge. He has also been a member of and has supervised several violent crime task forces in New York, Los Angeles, and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Mr. Bombardiere holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the City University of New York and attended the Master of Arts program in forensic psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
