The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. The proposed information collection was previously published in the Federal Register on January 11, 2016. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 30 days for public comment on the extension of an existing collection. The proposed information collection pertains to the loss of an Intrastate Purchase of Explosives Coupon. When any Intrastate Purchase of Explosives Coupon is stolen, lost or destroyed, the person losing possession must, upon discovery of the theft, loss or destruction, before 24 hours have elapsed since discovery, report the matter to the ATF Director.
