Paperwork Reduction Act Notice on Extension of an Existing Information Collection
Purpose: 
The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 30 days for public comment on the proposed extension of the existing form. The proposed information collection pertains to the ATF Form 5300.38 which is primarily used by federal firearms licensees to apply to change the location of their business premises, or for changes of trade business name, mailing address, contact information, hours of operation/availability, and allows for licensees to indicate any changes of business structure.
