Paperwork Reduction Act Notice on Extension of an Existing Information Collection
Purpose:
The Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 requires agencies to publish proposed information collections in the Federal Register for public comment before an agency can use the process (generally a form) to collect information from the public. As required by the Paperwork Reduction Act, this notice provides 60 days for public comment on the proposed extension of the existing collection. The proposed information collection pertains to notification by explosives licensees and permittees of changes to their mailing address. The chief of the federal explosives licensing center, must be notified at least 10 days before the change. This information is used by ATF to correctly identify explosives materials storage locations for purposes of inspection, as well as to notify licensees and permittees of any change in regulations or laws that may affect their business activities.
