K9 Bubo was acquired by ATF in March of 2024. Bubo previously worked for approximately two years as a Police K9 with the Euclid, OH Police Department where he was assigned to the United States Marshals Task Force and the EDGE SWAT unit. After months of intensive training with his ATF handler, Bubo was certified as a Special Response Team (SRT) Tactical K9 and assigned to SRT 4, based in Los Angeles, CA.  Bubo is certified in obedience, building and area searches, tracking, tactical movement and aggression control. Bubo’s job is to protect the public by helping ATF Special Agents and other law enforcement officers find and apprehend violent criminals. Bubo assists the ATF SRT during high-risk operations throughout the United States and its territories.
