K-9 Moby is an ATF Explosives Detection Canine assigned to the Seattle Field Division with Special Agent Canine Handler (SACH) Ben Ziesemer. His job is to find explosives, guns and ammunition. K-9 Moby is also an ATF Search Enhanced Evidence K-9 (S.E.E.K.) able to work off leash up to 150 yards away from his handler and detect more than 19,000 distinct odors.
He began his career as an ATF Explosives Detection Canine in January, 2021. K-9 Moby began puppy training in a prison in New York as part of the Puppies Behind Bars organization. K-9 Moby has three siblings stationed across the United States and they are also explosives detection canines. He enjoys water sports, retrieving tennis balls, finding guns and explosives.

K-9 Moby regularly deploys to support state, local and federal law enforcement agencies across the country. K-9 Moby provided support by conducting explosives detection sweeps at high profile events including the annual Super Bowl.
During a resent search, K-9 Moby assisted local police at the scene of a murder investigation. K-9 Moby began searching for evidence off-leash in a cramped and cluttered multi-tenant building. K-9 Moby found a backpack with a loaded 9mm pistol inside at the crime scene.
