ATF Offers Reward in Police Vehicle Theft Investigations
Seeking Public’s Help in Locating Thief(s)
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), has announced a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for multiple thefts from police vehicles.
Between Monday, Jul. 29, 2019 and Sunday, Aug. 04, 2019, five marked police vehicles parked in residential areas in Caldwell, Catawba and Burke Counties were broken into. The suspect(s) stole multiple items to include weapons.
These crimes are being investigated by the ATF, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), Hickory Police Department, Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office, Burke County Sheriff’s Office and Catawba County Sheriff’s Office.
