ATF Offers Reward for Hammond Home Invasion
NEW ORLEANS, La. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) New Orleans Field Division today announced it is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the death of a Hammond man and shooting of his daughter earlier this week.
On September 12, 2022, at approximately 11:30 p.m., three or four armed, unidentified suspects entered a Hammond residence on Rufus Bankston Road and fired multiple shots inside the apartment, killing one adult male and seriously injuring a child.
Upon arrival, deputies with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office discovered the body of 33-year-old Donte Perry of Hammond, deceased inside the apartment from multiple gunshot wounds. Also inside the residence was Perry’s 12-year-old daughter, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
ATF New Orleans is offering up to a $5,000 reward, along with up to a $5,000 reward from the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO), for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the attack.
The ATF New Orleans Field Division and the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office are conducting this investigation jointly.
