ATF Offers $5K Reward for Suspects Involved in Commercial Armed Robberies

Investigators are looking for multiple individuals responsible for several armed commercial robberies in Virginia, D.C., and Maryland

FAIRFAX, Va. — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Washington Field Division announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of individuals responsible for several 7-Eleven robberies throughout the National Capital Region.

On April 12th, a man armed with a firearm entered a 7-Eleven store located at 7330 Richmond Highway, displayed a handgun then demanded money.

On April 19th, a man armed with a firearm entered another 7-Eleven store located at 4818 Beauregard Street, displayed the firearm, and demanded the clerk’s wallet and cash from the register.

“The disruption and interference of commerce through threats or acts of violence is unacceptable and will not be tolerated by ATF.,” said ATF Washington Field Division Acting Special Agent in Charge Michael Weddel. “Public safety is our top priority, and we will continue to collaborate with our local, state, and federal partners to disrupt the cycle of criminal acquisition and the unlawful use of firearms within our communities.”
