ATF, NSSF Offers Up to $10,000 Reward on Cash America Pawn Robbery
FORT WORTH — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Fort Worth Police Department and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), have announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the identification and/or arrest of the suspect responsible for the robbery at knife point and theft of two handguns at Cash America Pawn, federal firearms licensee (FFL), located at 1024 Oak Grove Road, Fort Worth, Texas.
On Thursday, November 5th, 2020, at approximately 9 a.m., a black male entered the business premises and demanded money and firearms at knife point. The unidentified suspect was wearing a black hoodie, blue personal protective equipment (PPE) mask, black jeans, black/white basketball shoes and wearing a red wig or head scarf. The suspect then fled north on foot towards an apartment complex and disappeared.
“ATF is asking for the public’s help in getting this dangerous and unstable individual into custody for stealing guns from an open federally licensed firearms dealer. If you recognize this individual please let authorities know before further acts of violence occur in our community” said ATF Dallas Special Agent in Charge Jeffrey C Boshek II.
Anyone with any information about this crime should contact ATF at 1-888-ATF-TIPS. Information can also be sent to ATFTips@atf.gov, through ATF’s website at www.atf.gov/atftips.
The reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF and ATF, in which NSSF matches ATF rewards in cases involving the theft of firearms from federally licensed firearms retailers. ATF works closely with members of the firearms industry to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms.
ATF is the lead federal law enforcement agency with jurisdiction involving firearms and violent crimes, and regulates the firearm industry. More information about ATF and its programs is available at www.atf.gov.
